The El-Gitar is now a days one of the most played instruments in the world. Earlier was Acoustic Gitars used, but then the technology came and gitars got eletrical. Gitar is also popular because it is possible to play song without other instruments, only gitar.

Drums are and have been used to get the main rhythm for songs. It is not easy to play a song only with drums, but good drum players are able to do it.

Piano is a nice instrument. It is possible to make melodies and even play other instruments with the piano, at last they which are make now a days. Pianos are such as the gitars able to make songs without other instruments needed.

Vocal (microphone) is the voice, the singer. The microphone makes the sound louder. Microphones don't only get used to record or make voices louder, but it is also possible to play with an instrument infront of a microphone and it will get louder, or record the sound.

The quarter note is the most used note. The duration of it is 1 second. The whole note is to make long sounds, which duration is 4 seconds. The "rest" sign, or break sign, shows when to stop playing. The length depends on what sign it is, which are shown at the picture.


The lines have got names and they are sorted like on this picture to the right.

Hi, I have started this blogg on the 5. nov. 2010 for a school project. I'll post different stuff about music on this blogg and also post some music clips/videos

What is music?

Music. The most people have heard different forms of music, but what is music?

Music is an art of medium whose is sound. Pitch, the height of notes, is one of the most important thing in music. Music can be a lot and music come from almost all cultures in the world. There is no definition on music, because over the time music have changed so much. Easy said, music is organized sound which makes a melody.

Music instruments:

The most important in music are the instruments. The most played instruments in the world are guitar, drum, bassguitar and piano/keyboard and voice. In rock and metal are that the most intruments used.

In blues are instruments guitar, bassguitar, piano, drum and harmonica. The blues started by slaves in Africa. Jazz is a music genre which comes from the blues. Instruments used in jazz music are guitars, pianos, contrabass and drums.

Genre:

In music there are many different genres. For example Hip Hop, Rock and Metal, which are some of the most popular genres in music.
